James Blood Ulmer


Keine Ahnung wann ich das erste Mal von Ulmer gehört habe, aber ich glaube zu diesem Zeitpunkt war bereits seine LP "Are you glad to be in America" bei Rough Trade erschienen und in SoundS auch gut besprochen worden, sonst hätte mich ich wohl kaum hingesetzt um den Ton dieser Rockpalast(!)-Sendung aus dem 3.Fernsehprogramm des NDR mit dem Cassettenrecorder mitzuschneiden (leider einige dropouts). Enttäuscht war ich jedenfalls nicht, das ist echt heißer Scheiß was Ulmer hier auf der Gitarre zauberte und die Anfangskaskaden von "Where do all the girls come from" erzeugen bei mir immer noch ein Glücksgefühl sowie den Wunsch genau so Gitarre spielen zu können!
