Zu Instant Music fällt mir nicht viel ein. Sie kommen aus München und die Musik klingt auch ein bisschen nach unterkühlter Schicki-Micki-Pose. Andererseits waren die billigen Synthesizer und Rhythmusschachteln damals für viele überhaupt erst ein Grund, mit Musik anzufangen und die hatten keine Lust, den Schwulst eines Klaus Schulze oder von Tangerine Dream nachzubasteln, sondern wollten Tanzmusik machen. Instant Music ist eines der besseren Ergebnisse aus diesem Dilettantenbiotop und wenn man genauer hinhört entdeckt man auch etwas von den grandiosen Young Marble Giants in dieser Musik. "My Boy" ist übrigens auch auf der CD "Teutonik Desaster Vol.2" zu finden.

Summary: Don't know much about Instant Music other than that they came from Munich. It's very simple rhythmical music that was only possible during the days of Neue Deutsche Welle when Synthesizers were cheap and Klaus Schulze and Tangerine Dream (http://www.tangerinedream.de/) were enemy no.1. It also has the spirit of Young Marble Giants . "My Boy" is also available on the CD "Teutonik Desaster Vol.2".

Instant Music may not be of great stature in the history of music but it is surely both charming and interesting. It's modest means, light touch and lack of self-importance makes it a welcome and refreshing little discovery. Thanks.
