Rough Trade ist ja das bekannteste englische Independent-Label, dass durch Punk groß wurde. Interessanterweise hat Geoff Travis jedoch außer den Stiff Little Fingers alles andere als Punk-Platten herausgebracht (er hat aber viele vertrieben), so auch dieses Synthie-Pop-Quintett aus Japan. Ich mag diese Single so sehr, dass ich mir nie eine der späteren Platten der Plastics zugelegt habe um jegliche Enttäuschung zu vermeiden. "Welcome Back" und "Origato Plastico" sind bei großen japanischen Labels herausgekommen und vermutlich fehlt ihnen diese charmante Primitivität wie sie auf "Copy" und "Robot" zu hören ist. Oder ist meine Befürchtung unbegründet?

Summary: Another record I like so much that until today I didn't dare to buy another record from Plastics to avoid disappointments. This is some kind of punky synthie-pop from Japan. Maybe you like to listen to their later albums "Welcome Back" and "Origato Plastico" and tell me whether they are as charming as these two rough tunes?

don't know what I did there, anyway I just wanted to say that it was nice seeing the Plastics getting some attention on the blogs.
I have had 'Welcome Back' on vinyl since its release and it is a great album... just as good as the single.
