Deutsche Woche: Vorwort

Summary? Not really: Don't ask me how I came up with the idea of doing a "German week". Too be honest I'm somehow bored of blogging because there is not much response - probably because there are way too much music blogs around, or maybe that my blog has not a special image but offers a great variety between noise and brass music. But without some response why should I waste hours on hours for recording records to my computer, scanning the covers and writing words (and not just copying and pasting them with the help of Google). There are some blogs with 5 or more postings a day and I ask myself how do they do it, don't they have to go to work to earn money, or even to eat and sleep (probably they have a job like lock guard in East Germany were you are paid for doing nothing all day long as there are nearly no ships in the canals in East Germany)? On the other hand there are some postings with some special music like the Ron L. Hubbard-stuff, The Adverts and Metabolist which I thought might interest some people but created nearly zero response. So probably I should quit blogging because nobody cares and concentrate on maybe reading some good books. But like Kurt Cobain said before he blew his head of: "It's better to burn out than to fade away". So maybe I should not quit quietly like some other blogs but finish (or probably get finished) with some noise. And what kind of noise gets most attention? Nazis of course (I still think so, but maybe I'm wrong and fascist ideas are already so widespread that nobody will care about what I say). So I thought about posting some Nazi-Rock (yeah, shock people like Sid Vicious shocked with his Swastika-t-shirt). And to make sure to everyone that politically I'm totally against fascism (although I really don't care what you are against, just tell me what you stand for) I will post some records which deal with German imagery in total different ways. And what better way than to start with a stupid band that made a clever song? For a lot of people Böhse Onkelz were the most prominent Nazi-Band in Germany, but they started as punks and one of their first songs was "SS-Staat" with the chorus "SS-state within the state, will it happen again? SS-state within the state, we don't want to see it happen again." It's classic German punk from 1981/82, but it was never officially released, and therefore only available with poor sound quality.
